“Found Drowned”: A Palisades Cold Case from 1873

Fort Lee Historic Park, Palisades Interstate Park Commission, Hudson Terrace, Fort Lee, NJ 07024, USA

Illustrated talk with Eric Nelsen at the Visitor Center at Fort Lee Historic Park . In the summer of 1873, the body of an “unknown woman” was recovered from the Hudson River along the Palisades. Her identification by her fiancé a few days later would lead to a fascinating story. Eric will share some of the insights he has uncovered since he first came upon this “Jersey Horror” twenty years ago.
